Scandals, Cons, and Cults
Where is Shelly Miscavige?
In my last post about Scientology and its leader David Miscavige, I casually mentioned no one has seen his wife for years. The last she was seen in public was in 2007.
Leah Remini, a former Scientologist and activist against the organization, didn’t see Shelly at Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes’ wedding. She asked where she was, and soon began Leah’s descent into being very suspicious of the whole organization. She and Shelly were friends and suddenly, she couldn’t get in touch with her. And Shelly has never been seen again.
Leah herself filed a missing persons report on Shelly with the LAPD in 2015 only for them to get back and say she was alive — no other details. According to many ex-Scientologists, the LAPD and the Scientology Center are on close terms. They even set up an information kiosk about the religion at their headquarters. Thankfully, it was taken down.
Since Scientology is against therapy, I suspect — if the woman is safe — she is suffering from something that would not make their belief system look good. Scientology claims everything from postpartum to bipolar is a sham.
However, some ex-Scientologists have a different take. Recently, Aaron Smith-Levin revealed drone footage of a top-secret base in Twin Peaks, CA. It is where some of the founder’s, L. Ron Hubbard, original works are supposedly stored in a vault built into the side of a mountain.
